13 June 2001 Karen stopped by the store to pick up some things Carl had ordered and told us that Carl had finished most of the varnishing projects on the boat. However, he has been unable to transmit anything but very short notes to Karen because his antenna tuner died. Karen is returning with a new one along with some additional scuba supplies, a refrigeration system motor (at 30 pounds), food staples they cannot get elsewhere (remember they ran out of Tabasco Sauce), etc.. She and Becca have had a nice long visit but are ready to return to the boat and a less harried existence.
