Have you ever wondered how the Cayman Islands were formed? How did the reefs form around them? What makes them different from other islands?
Join us as we explore the formation of the Caribbean islands, especially the Cayman Islands. Martin has a fun, entertaining presentation on the Geology of the Islands and how they were formed. He also has methods for examining an island and determining how it might have formed. It makes for an interesting way to look at the places we dive. We will be meeting in the backyard event space, so dress comfortably and bring your favorite chair or use one of ours. We will be having our famed Pizza bites, along with tea, water, and a few Boqueron Rum Specials, courtesy of Steve Jurbala.

About Our Guest Speaker: Martin was trained as a Geologist and has a passion for geology and archeology. Even while diving, he loves to think about the reef's geology. Currently he is in strategic planning and data analysis with Exxon USA.
