Description
It makes diving more enjoyable when you have some knowledge about the world you are entering. The SSI Ecology programs are designed to give you an introductin to the underwater world. In this program you will learn about the marine ecosystems and biodiversity, oceanography and the human impact on oceans, management and conservation of the Marine Environment and best practices for protecting the Oceans
What is the class schedule?
Before your class | Set-up an SSI profile if you haven’t already. Please complete the forms and turn in to Dive Mom. She will email you the forms to complete. |
Classroom Session | This is an on-line program with no classroom required. |
OpenWater Session | none required |
Like any training program, your ratings and certification cards will be awarded when earned and by completing all of the requirements and paperwork.
What is included in the program?
- Educational materials including, lecture notes and cards when earned
- Digital card when earned, a plastic card is available for an additional fee
Not Included: a total diving system. The staff at Oceanic Ventures can help you find just the right things for your trip and things that are personally fitted to you.
What equipment is required?
Required Equipment: You only need an internet connection.
What Paperwork do I need to complete as part of the enrollment?
When you enroll in the program, an enrollment packet will be emailed to you. Please complete the information and return it to us as soon as possible.
